i think it was elizabeths fault

Disclaimer: this post may include some religious beliefs, if you are uncomfortable with this type of discussion, just skip over this post and ill be back tomorrow to talk  about lighter topics... such as sexy men and red lipstick...

Okay so this morning i was listening to my fave radio program and i heard something disturbing, a fight on The View. So apparently some guy (sorry i should get my facts straight before i post such things but its like 8:27am... color me lazy for the next 2 hours) was a guest on the show and stated that having a mosque built where the 9/11 attacks occurred was not appropriate, the question he asked was " were the ppl flying the plane not muslims?"  don't quote me, it was along those lines.

So i'm sitting in my car listening to this garbage and i'm slowly getting furious. At first i was furious that this guy was missing the fucking point, then it started to expand to why the radio station felt it necessary to put this shit in my ear first thing in the morning, and then it was embarrassment for the woman of the view for handling the situation so poorly and allowing their emotions to get the better of them.

For this reason would you guys mind if i vented just a touch out here? i may implode otherwise. kay here it goes.......

The people responsible for the 9/11 attacks were not muslim..... they were fucking people. The people who died in the buildings that day were human fucking beings, why the fuck would anybody in their right mind try and define them by a religion. When i go, i better not be remembered as a catholic... cuz i  don't want to be defined by how i see  our God. That's right OUR God, there's only ONE!!! i don't give a flying shit what you call him./her/it  there is only ONE!!! defining yourself by which bible you read, or what religious center you pray in, is bat shit crazy! does no one else see that!!! they all missed the fucking point!!!

Okay now that that's outta the way, putting a mosque there would not have been  appropriate, not  because of the religion  of those flying the plane,  but because religion causes shit, like what was seen on The View. I dont know why but it does, for some reason ppl loose their shit when you start talking about God.

So building any religious center there, or even discussing it, was gonna cause arguments, and sadly, prob. a few hate crimes. Its sad how inconsiderate we are, as a community of human beings, about other peoples beliefs. Its sad how we attempt to define people by how they celebrate their faith,  its disgusting, but it happens.

I mean putting a religious center at the site of 9/11 would be like putting 3 children in a room and giving them one toy.... watch what happens. Bad analogy i know, but what i'm trying to say is that we know how people get, those who make the big decisions should have predicted it before the discussion was even made public.

and now i'm exhausted, because negative emotions are exhausting, i think i should get back to work!

p.s. last time i post anything remotely related to religion kay guys? i hate talking about this shit! and you guys shouldn't have to hear it!

Also, Happy Friday :)

P.P.S  on a completely diff. note, i just heard a great quote today: " You may be on the right track but you'll still get run over if you just sit there"  so get a move on!!! :)

Ok the guy on the view yesterday, I saw it (i watch The View faithfully). The reason the ladies (Joy and Whoopi) left the stage is because the idiot they had on the show as a guest made the generalized comment that muslims are at fault for 9/11. When the ladies heard that ...omg....joy and whoopi left, after commercial break they came back because guest apologized and clairified muslim extremists, he thought that by now society would know what he meant by saying muslims.

I think that the ladies on the view stood their ground for leaving the stage.....but Barbara Walters said that they shouldn't have done it, but fought for their point without leaving.

But I loved the post! Good read!

Awesome post! In regards to Barbara Walters, maybe to have their point heard and to make their point come across they had to leave the set. As they say, actions speak louder than words!

I totally watched that on The View, and I completely agree with BeMistified, I think Joy and Whoopi had to leave (although Joy always appears childish with her "so what! who cares!" attitude, but I digress...anyway, once the ladies left, sanity was restored somewhat.
And that guy talks with his hands, and people who talk with their hands have a way of cutting other people off.
Great post! I agree with you! You are so smart and good for you for voicing your thoughts!
