So i wrote a novel a while back. It was never edited.. it was never read really.
But i loved it. i loved it because it was truth. it was everything from my perspective and it meant something to me. After my second year in University i lost a lot of the writer in me. I stopped seeing things from a story worthy perspective... from a overly descriptive and unfounded enchantment perspective. make sense? probably not because that is one of my biggest problems. making the reader really feel and see what I'm saying.
so i started this blog. and it was suppose to be my voice on medium volume. just a little speck of space where i could practice writing everything.
I kept a journal from the age of 7... bet i never told you that. It had the secret garden on the front of it with a lock and a key and i carried that bad boy around with me like it was treasure. Because it was in fact treasure to me... still is. It sits in my closet now... hasn't been open since 1997. i remember because that was the year i moved into my step dads house. Any who, it was that little journal that began my love affair with words. i still love them. i still use too many of them in all honesty.
So i was thinking.... perhaps, maybe, i should try writing this true story -turned novel- turned secret i keep in my closet- down in this little speck of space i created for myself.
would you read.... whoever you may be?
i have always been one for signs. so i say this. i begin to write it down. my truth, my story. i wont tell you that its going to be sooo interesting or that my life should be a soap opera. because im not so sure it is. to me it is... but....
so today i am going to put out a little teaser. i am going to begin my little novel. i am going to write it as quickly and as well as i possibly can and this is where the test begins. If people read it, if i gain followers, if people love it... even just one person loves it.... i know ive got something here.
if i dont hear anything at all... well then im shutting this blog down and im finding something i love as much as this that im actually good at. call that a stupid decision but it is what it is.
so here is my story. i hope whoever reads this likes it... hope i can entertain as it is what i do... entertain that is. let me know whatcha think kay? this is a career changing decision people. i need to know if my dream of being a writer is as realistic as one of those rejected American idol contestants' dreams of stardom!
